Chicago will be the first stop on a ten-city tour bringing FREEZE FRAME to stages across the country.

Through dance-driven narrative performance, FREEZE FRAME seeks to galvanize America into an honest conversation about gun violence, racial prejudice, social injustice and the basic principles of human rights.

Laurie through her company, SPARK Theatrical is committed to developing plays which “provide a lens into the human condition.” One of the initiatives that makes SPARK Theatrical unique is connecting non-profits with missions aligned to plays to the audiences providing an opportunity for education and action.

An attorney by training and a longstanding leader in philanthropic circles, Laurie started a business consulting to non-profits before turning to producing. She played a leadership role in taking ‘FREEZE FRAME…Stop the Madness’ from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. as well as working to bring FFSTM to other cities across America. Laurie is an alumna of the Commercial Theatre Institute’s Producers Intensive at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, and is on the board of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, the Ojai Playwrights Conference, and the Thunder River Theatre Company.
